It’s characterized by episodes of psychosis, involving delusions, hallucinations, as well as disorganized thinking and behavior. Early diagnosis and treatment are important for improving the long-term outlook for people with schizophrenia, helping them to lead fulfilling, productive lives despite the challenges of the disorder.
